Give a device a new job.
Run CamWeave on your camera device. Choose your camera, set an access code, and start streaming.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON YOUR DEVICES
Give the devices you already own a new point of view. Turn a phone or computer into a camera you can watch from your browser.
In development · iOS in private testing
01 / LESS SETUP. MORE POSSIBILITY.
That spare phone. The computer on your desk.
A tiny Raspberry Pi. Start with what you have.
Run CamWeave on your camera device. Choose your camera, set an access code, and start streaming.
Use your local network or a compatible VPN. Your choice of connection, without tying your camera to one provider.
Visit your camera’s link to watch. Adjust quality and frame rate from the viewer, wherever your network reaches.
02 / A WINDOW, NOT ANOTHER APP.
Each camera gets its own web interface. Watch from a laptop, tablet, or phone, with the controls right where you need them.
No separate viewer app to install.
Choose your picture quality and frame rate.
Try the controls in this interactive concept.
It’s an illustration, not a live camera feed.
03 / BUILT TO BRING DEVICES TOGETHER.
Simple software for everyday devices.
Here’s where we’re headed.
$1 / €1 in Europe
Planned app price
Public downloads aren’t available yet. Final regional pricing will be shown in each store.
Free & open source
Planned Linux & Docker editions
Source code and installation guides will be linked here when the first public release is ready.
04 / OPEN BY DESIGN.
We’re building a free, open API so your camera can fit into your own tools and workflows. The same foundation will power a future multi-camera manager.
A few things to knowMulti-camera management comes later.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Not publicly yet. The iOS app is in private TestFlight testing. Android, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, and Docker are on the roadmap. This site will link to releases as they become available.
Tailscale is one option, not a requirement. CamWeave’s direction is to work over any reachable network, including a local network or a compatible VPN. Your viewing device must be able to reach your camera. Compatibility testing is ongoing.
With a working VPN or another reachable network path, yes. The iOS prototype retries after network interruptions. It still needs the app in the foreground: locking the phone or moving the app into the background pauses the camera.
No. This is the product website, not a camera viewer or relay. The preview is an illustration and never requests access to your camera. Actual viewing happens through your camera’s own web interface.
Linux and Docker editions are planned to be open source and free, and API access will be free. The license and public API specification are still being finalized. Hosted video relay, recording, and cloud storage aren’t part of this offer.
LESS NEW HARDWARE. MORE NEW POSSIBILITIES.
